The whole junkyard
The useless websites list: 120 pointless sites in one glorious pile
A useless website is a page somebody built with real effort and no practical reason to exist. It does not sell you anything, save you time or make you better at your job. It just does one strange thing, very committedly, and then lets you leave.
This list of useless websites is every site in the junkyard, filed and labelled. Some are internet history, like the Space Jam page from 1996. Some are interactive toys. Some are a single joke that refuses to end. Each one gets a rarity, so the best useless websites float to the top.
Reading a list is fine. Discovering them one at a time is better, and it cures boredom faster: pick a path, read the clue, reveal a random useless website and see how many you can collect.

Every refresh gives you a new version control message of the kind programmers write at 2am. Some are confessions, some are apologies and some are just a single swear word.

Questions nobody needed answered
What counts as a useless website?
A site that exists purely for the joke, the art or the sheer weirdness of it. If it is genuinely useful, it does not belong here. If it made you ask "why does this exist?", it probably does.
What are the best useless websites?
The legendary ones are listed first: internet relics like the 1996 Space Jam site and the Million Dollar Homepage, plus classics like Pointer Pointer, Zoomquilt and Pug in a Rug.
Is there a button that takes you to a random useless website?
Yes. Hit Surprise Me or Start Wasting Time and the junkyard picks a random useless website for you, with a clue first so the reveal is actually a surprise.
Do all the websites on this list still work?
Yes. Every site on the list is checked, and any that die, redirect somewhere else or get taken over by spam are pulled instead of left as broken links. A few play loud audio or flash bright colours, and those carry a warning.
Can I suggest a useless website?
Not right now. Every site on the list is picked and checked by hand, so open submissions stay closed until there is a moderation queue to run them through.
